St Fin Barre’s Cathedral Cork
St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral is one of the most iconic landmarks in Cork City. It is located on the south side of the banks of the river Lee. It was designed by William Burgess. He also designed the stained glass, the sculptures and the mosaics. The foundation was first started in 1865. It wasn't until 1879 when the third and final spire was finished. It is 13th century gothic design. Most of its stone came from Little Island or Fermoy.
